Although this injectable solution is partly composed of compounds found in the human body, common side effects that may occur are pain, redness, swelling, itching, bruising. However, these side effects usually disappear within two days of the injection.

A minimum of 2 treatments are required but for optimum results 3 to 4 sessions are recommended. These should be spaced 7-14 days apart. 

A small amount of Jalupro product is superficially injected into the skin, concentrating on the areas of concern.

With Jalupro you will see improved results straight away but depending on the severity of the concern will determine how many treatments you need for optimum improvement. 

On average the results last for around 6 months but this does vary from person to person. The more regularly you have this treatment the longer the results will last. For some people the treatment area can be raised and pink, this usually improves rapidly so there is no down time with this treatment.

• Stop Retin-A products for 5 days before your appointment  
  
• Avoid laser treatments for 4 weeks before 
  
• Avoid having any sort of chemical peel or microdermabrasion treatment within 2 weeks of your appointment unless supervised by your practitioner. 
  
• No waxing or electrolysis for 7 days prior to your appointment 
  
• There must be at least a 2-week gap between treatment and Injectables including Fillers, Muscle inhibitors and Derma needling treatments. 
  
• Steroid creams, topical antibiotics and the use of Roaccutane will prevent treatment  
  
• Please advise us of any medical changes at each appointment including pregnancy and breast feeding

Things to avoid: 

Medicine, alcohol and caffeine. For at least three days, you should avoid taking any of these products to reduce the risk of heightening the sensitivity of the injected areas and to not tamper with the metabolising of the filler. 

Any activity related to extreme heat or sweat. This includes being under the sun for long periods and going to the sauna or gym. Too much movement or strenuous activity. This includes washing your face immediately after your procedure—you should wait at least six hours.

Once you can wash your face, make sure to use gentle motions and to use products that can help keep your skin looking healthy. Things to do: Keep your skin clean and moisturised. This means no makeup or scrubs or heavy masks, especially within the first six hours post-procedure. If anything, apply moisturiser and sunblock to your skin regularly. This is just an extra step to protect your skin and speed up the healing process. 

Stay hydrated. Drink lots of water for the first few days of treatment as this will quicken the healing process. 

• Ensure a minimum SPF 30 is worn daily whatever the weather conditions 
• Avoid perfumed products on the face for 24 hours  
• Avoid Heat treatment including UV rays, Saunas, Steams etc for 48 hours after treatment  
• Avoid Alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinoids and other potentially irritating products for 7 days or until the skin has fully healed. 
• Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 7 to 10 days following treatment to allow your skin to fully heal 
• Avoid strenuous exercise and consequent sweating until the skin has completely healed. usually 48 hours.
• Hydrate the skin well  
• Avoid chemical peel, Microdermabrasion, IPL Hair removal including waxing and Laser treatments for a minimum of 2 weeks after treatment or until the skin has fully recovered. 
• Avoid make up for 12 hours, mineral make up is recommended.
• Avoid Alcohol or vigorous exercise for 48 hours
• Bruising may take place arnica can be helpful to reduce this.
• Report any redness, tenderness, swelling or worsening after 3 days.
• Report any Blanching, mottled or severe pain 
• Severe allergic reaction would include - Breathless, Wheezing, couching, swallowing, swelling of the tongue, lips, eyelids, stomach pains, nausea, diarrhoea or hoarseness of the voice. if you experience any of these symptoms call 999 or visit your local Emergency department.
